NH Research 4700-1 DC Electronic Load

The NH Research 4700-1 DC Electronic Load is a high-performance solution designed to accommodate a wide variety of electronic loading requirements, whether integrated within automatic test stations or utilized as a stand-alone bench-top setup. Applications needing full current at low voltages, fast transient simulation capabilities, and extensive internal measurements will find this 1 kW load especially useful. This product is ideal for evaluating power conversion and storage devices including DC power supplies, telecom rectifiers, and batteries because it has a maximum current of 200 A and a voltage range of 1 to 120 V.

Precise and dynamic load profiles can be created using the 4700-1 DC Load, including variable slew rates, stepped responses, microsecond pulses, and even AC components on DC waveforms. The system's capacity to create Macros, each of which can have up to 100 steps and be directly executed by the load for the fastest possible transition, allows for this versatility. The system controller has the ability to save macros, which may be downloaded and used whenever necessary.

The 4700-1 incorporates advanced safety features that include programmed limitations to guard against internal malfunctions, external defects, and user errors. When a safety limit is reached, the load stops operating until the fault is fixed, disables its output, and displays an error notice. Because of the load's modular architecture, additional modules can be added to expand its field of use and provide higher current and power capacities without requiring the installation of a whole new system.

Apart from these features, this DC load also has continuous performance monitoring, self-testing upon power-up, remote sensing with a maximum drop of 2 VDC, and calibration modifications saved in integrated circuit memory.
